"Pretty clear seller details"
I liked that Alibris showed the seller info and the book condition right away. I’m not saying that automatically makes everything perfect, but it did make me feel like I knew what I was buying. The book showed up matching the listing, so overall it seemed honest enough to me

"Finally found the book I’d been hunting for"
I’ve ordered from Alibris a handful of times now, mostly when I’m trying to track down older out-of-print books that don’t seem to exist anywhere else. Amazon came up empty, the local shops had no luck, and then somehow Alibris had the rare history book I’d been looking for forever.
The site isn’t exactly slick or modern, but that wasn’t what I was there for. Prices seemed reasonable, shipping varied by seller, and my order showed up just fine. For hard-to-find books, it’s definitely staying on my list

"Arrived faster than I expected"
I ordered a used book and, i was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it showed up. The tracking wasn’t amazing or anything, kind of slow to update and not very detailed, but the package itself arrived in good shape. I’m taking off one star for the tracking, since it felt a little lacking, but overall I’d say the shipping experience was better than I expected.

I was expecting the usual extra charges at checkout, but the shipping stayed low and there weren’t any surprise fees. Overpaying for delivery felt totally avoidable for once.

I ordered a used book from the US to Spain and it showed up faster than I expected, the packaging was totally fine, the book was in the condition they said it would be, and I didn’t run into any customs issues either so overall it was a really easy experience and I’d use them again

I ordered a used book from Alibris, but after I paid, it turned out it was out of stock. Kinda annoying at first, but you know, things happen.
I reached out to support and they got back to me quick. They explained it in a simple way and started the refund right away, no runaround or endless questions.
The money was back on my card in a few days. it was easier than I thought it would be, so yeah, 5 stars from me...

"Fixed faster than I thought"
My order wasn’t updating and I figured it was going to turn into a whole thing. I reached out to Alibris and they got back to me with a clear answer, then fixed it way quicker than I expected. Happy with how it went. That was it.

"Wrong book but they fixed it easy"
I got the wrong book with my order and thought it was gonna be a whole hassle. But alibris took care of it fast. I sent them my order info and they replied not long after. The refund got sorted out and there wasn’t any weird back and forth or run around. Simple and fair, which I really did appreciate.

"Book arrived damaged, but they made it right"
My used book showed up with a bent cover and a cracked corner, which was frustrating and felt avoidable. I sent alibris a quick message with a couple of photos to show what happened.
They replied the next day and gave me a partial refund without turning it into a hassle. I still wish it had arrived in better shape, but their response was fair, so I’d probably order from them again.

"I picked up a used textbook from..."
I picked up a used textbook from Alibris for one of my classes and it was so much cheaper than buying it at the campus bookstore. It showed up in decent shape, with just some highlighting like the listing mentioned. Shipping took a few days, but it wasn’t a big deal. For the price, I’m happy with it and I’d definitely check here again next semester.

"Easy enough, but checkout was a bit annoying"
alibris was easy to browse and search, and I did end up finding what I needed. The site itself wasn’t too hard to use, but the checkout took me a minute to figure out, which was kind of annoying. It worked in the end, but yeah, the checkout could definitely be clearer. Overall it was fine, just wish the checkout part wasn’t such a small hassle

"I’d been trying to track down this..."
I’d been trying to track down this one book for a while and kept coming up empty everywhere else. Then I checked Alibris and, sure enough, they had a used copy available. The price was totally fair, which was a nice bonus. I was impressed by how many options they had, and I’m glad I ended up finding exactly what I needed.
